Day 11: Kitchen
When apartment shopping, I was shocked at how small the kitchens could be. So Tyler and I decided to find an apartment that had a decent sized kitchen. Well we did and I love it. My kitchen is so nice and I love that it’s big enough for me to cook for parties and get togethers. While I’m not a super great cook, I’ve learned so many new skills while in this kitchen. I love my apartment and all the parts of it.

Day 8: Holidays I love the holiday season and it’s really just starting! I love that it gives a good reason to throw fun parties, get together with friends and family, and that special atmosphere the holidays bring with them. I am totally the type of person that wants to plan those perfect Pinterest parties and love to use holidays as an excuse. I had a great time at the 4th of July party I threw this summer, (check that out here) and I am in the process of planning a totally awesome Halloween party. So look forward to many posts this season about my fun gatherings. In addition to parties and get togethers, I love the holiday season because of the traditions it holds. I am a big believer in establishing and keeping traditions. It makes this time of year just that much more special. I’ve really enjoyed traditions so far this year since Tyler and I are starting to create our first ones as a married couple. It’s such an amazing feeling to be establishing traditions with my husband. (Guys marriage is totally awesome!!) What are your favorite things about the holidays and what traditions do you have? Tyler and I went to go see the witches at Gardner Village (a very popular shopping district that often does fun community activities) for a fun fall activity. Tyler has never been to see them and I had the day off so we went! I was really excited to get out and do our first real fall activity. Before we arrived at Gardner Village we stopped at got coffee at High Point Coffee. I love love love their coffee so it was a great treat. All warmed up, we arrived. I was really enjoying the atmosphere and really getting into finding the witches. Basically I was really getting into the childlike spirit, but Tyler thought the witches were kinda silly. I think this fall activity would be more enjoyable in the evening rather than during the day, but I hope to make it a tradition. I also think we will enjoy it more once we have children, but I am determined to go back next year or maybe even again this year. *Kylie It’s the summer after our freshman year. Tyler and I had spent 4 months awkwardly experiencing our first relationship. Just 3 weeks after school ended Tyler and I were watching TV in the basement of my parent’s house. I felt like I had been waiting for years for Tyler to kiss me. Well on this lovely June day I could tell something was going to happen.
We were cuddled up on the couch “watching” a show. As I could feel the tension build, I got really nervous and began to shake. It was about the time I thought the couch would start shaking too that Tyler turned his face towards mine. He gave me the cutest smile and leaned in. It was a perfectly wonderful first kiss. We both let out a nervous little laugh and quickly secured our second kiss. Our first kiss isn’t my favorite story to tell. We were so young and awkward, but there isn’t anybody I would have rather shared my first kiss with. *Kylie *Go Pumpkin Picking
