In the spirit of getting to connect with others more, I’ve decided to share 11 things you probably don’t know about me.
1. I Love Photography While some of you might know this, I love to take photos. I’m working on a photography business and I hope to get far. I love to show how beautiful people are through my lense. 2. I’m The Oldest of Three Girls I’ve got two little sisters. It’s been such a big part of my life to be a big sister and to be honest I don’t think I live up to the title very well. I could totally be a better sister. 3. I’m Not Actually the Oldest Child And here I go contradicting myself. I found out that I have an older half brother when I was about 13. My brother is married and has 4 kids, so I do talk about my nieces and nephews. They aren’t a huge part of my life (totally unfortunate), but they do get brought up. So I am the oldest, but I also have a brother who I didn’t grow up with so I don’t consider him an older sibling. 4. I Often Don’t Believe in Myself This one’s a little more serious/sad, but it’s true. I’ve found that I don’t believe in myself enough. I often doubt myself and don’t feel confident. It’s an issue I’m sure many others face. And I just wanted to share it with you guys because some days are good and easy and some make me feel down and just like relaxing at home and not trying to be perfect all the time. 5. My Favorite Animal is an Otter I love to go to the local aquarium and watch the river otters play. I could stay there for hours. I just simply love them. Also on my list of favorites is Cats, Whales, Seals, and Octopus 6. My Zodiac Sign is Scorpio I’m kind of into astrology and I like occasionally reading about my zodiac. I relate to my sign so well that I even got it tattooed on my wrist. It was my first tattoo I ever got. 7. My Deepest Fear is Infertility So this is me really opening up to you guys. It’s my biggest fear. I worry so frequently about not being able to have kids. It means everything to me to be a mom. I want to have children of my own so bad and I worry that I won’t be able to conceive naturally. 8. When I Was 8 I Broke My Arms Yup you read that right. Both of my arms. I was in first grade. I was at my grandma’s house for mothers day and was playing on the swing set. I jumped off and landed on my hands and created a hairline fracture across both my wrists. So I was a little kid with both arms in casts. Then to top my clutzy-ness off I broke my left wrist again in fifth grade by tripping over a ball at recess. 9. Tyler is Color Blind Not really about me, but still something you didn’t know. Tyler is color blind and totally mixes up colors all the time. He hates getting asking about it. I love it though, it makes our days interesting and fun. It affects everyday life in ways I never expect and it makes me laugh. It’s about the simple things. 10. Tyler was My First Kiss And I was his. Cute I know right? I’ve known Tyler for almost 6 years. Such a long time. It’s been amazing to be with him for so long. High school sweethearts. 11. I Love Reading This is such a true statement, but unfortunately I don’t ever have time to read for fun anymore. With so much time spent on school I never get to. So once the semester if over, expect to hear a lot more about what I’m reading. *Kylie

In honor of today being my two month marriage anniversary, I'm going to share a very funny, naive, and cute story. This is the story of Tyler and I's first kiss.
It’s the summer after our freshman year. Tyler and I had spent 4 months awkwardly experiencing our first relationship. Just 3 weeks after school ended Tyler and I were watching TV in the basement of my parent’s house. I felt like I had been waiting for years for Tyler to kiss me. Wel on this lovely June day I could tell something was going to happen. We were cuddled up on the couch “watching” a show. As I could feel the tension build, I got really nervous and began to shake. It was about the time I thought the couch would start shaking too that Tyler turned his face towards mine. He gave me the cutest smile and leaned in. It was a perfectly wonderful first kiss. We both let out a nervous little laugh and quickly secured our second kiss. Our first kiss isn’t my favorite story to tell. We were so young and awkward, but there isn’t anybody I would have rather shared my first kiss with. *Kylie Well I posted my fall bucket list about a month ago (check it out here) and it’s time for me to check in. I really haven't been able to get much checked off yet. It hasn’t really been fall weather and doing the activities in the heat just doesn’t have the same feel to it. Regardless I have gotten some things completed. Drive through the Canyon I used this item as an excuse to finally get up big cottonwood canyon to check out silver lake. All my friends have been telling me that it is an amazing photo spot. Well when Tyler and I made it up the canyon, we found a snow covered, frozen lake. Not so fall picture worthy (although it was a gorgeous winter scene). Guess next year we’ll have to get up the canyon earlier in order to see the fall leaves. Pumpkin Spice Coffee Date I have gotten more coffee this fall than I’d like to admit, but there’s just something magical about getting out in the fall weather with a warm cup in your hand. Pumpkin Picking Tyler and I decided to check out a new pumpkin patch this year. I had found one called Kalawala advertising a free entrance to the corn maze with the purchase of a pumpkin. I thought cool, we’re buying pumpkins anyways, why not get a free corn maze too? Well the pumpkin patch was nice, not as good as our usual spot, but still nice. We found some pumpkins and bought raspberry salsa and pumpkin butter from their little store. (Both of which are very yummy and taste homemade) As for the corn maze, it sucked. Like way bad. No wonder it was practically free admission. There was only a haunted side and a kiddy side, we chose the kiddy side, so it should’ve been a piece of cake. Instead we walked the ENTIRE corn maze and found no exit. None. The only way out was the entrance. It was hilariously lame. At least we had fun getting some cute pumpkins. And that’s all I’ve been able to do so far, but I look forward to accomplishing more as we get further into fall weather. *Kylie Boo Lights at Hogle Zoo was fantastic! When I heard about boo lights I thought it was a cute and fun date idea. I was excited to go, but in the back of my mind I was skeptical on how fun and neat it would be. I’ve gone to similar events and not enjoyed them as much as expected. Tyler, Amanda (my cousin), and I all went together. It was quite chilly! But we stopped beforehand for hot coffee to help keep us warm. Walking in it looked more like the zoo was lit up for Christmas. The trees were covered in multicolored lights and there was a large Christmas tree in the center of the plaza. I even commented to Amanda that it looked like Temple Square. But as we walked into the zoo further we saw more light displays and the magic appeared. It was awesome to walk around the zoo, we even got to see the animals. They were so much more active than when Tyler and I came in the summer. (Read about that here) I was really impressed with the lights and we even found a Weeping Angel. Yes I did totally geek out! It was a really amazing night and I will totally be coming back next year! P.S. check out these awesome singing pumpkins!! If you want to go, check out the dates below! *Kylie |
