So Spring has sprung and I feel like I missed most of it. Like I said in my Spring bucket list post, Spring in Utah is like three weeks long. We got several snow storms in April and my flowers barely survived. But here’s what I was able to accomplish in the short season.
I made a bird feeder! Although I have yet to see a bird eating from it… Hopefully now that it’s really getting warmer I’ll see some bird visitors. I was able to plan my flowers, and yes they did survive all the snow :) I am loving having some fresh plants around the apartment. I did not have a picnic in the park. Whenever I planned on going out for the picnic the weather decided that it just wasn’t going to happen. Maybe this Summer Kimmy and I went out to feed the ducks and it was super super fun. I loved every moment of it and think we will be going to do it more often. (a quick FYI you should not feed ducks bread, it isn’t good for them and pollutes the water, frozen corn or rice are much better options) Hagrid and I walked the Jordan River Parkway one morning last month. And while I was hoping to see more of it, my poor little puppy got too tired. I even had to carry him back to the car cuz he wouldn’t walk. Since I live in an apartment my veggie garden is more of an herb garden, but I love it either way. I’ve successfully grown lots of cilantro and basil with a few sprouts of rosemary. I did not make it to any garage sales this Spring cleaning season and I’m pretty disappointed. Since I’ve been working almost every weekend and my job it’s made it so I can’t make it to the Saturday morning sales. But now i’ve got a new job so maybe this Summer I’ll be able to hit them up! I also did not make any homemade lemonade. To be honest I don’t really like lemonade so i don’t know why I put it on my list.. Spring was so fun for how short it was. I am looking forward to an awesome Summer.

Spring is not a season I usually look forward to but I’m hoping to change this with my bucket list for the spring season!
*Make a Bird Feeder *Plant Flowers *Picnic in the Park *Feed the Ducks *Walk the Jordan River Trail *Start a Veggie Garden *A Day of Garage Sales *Make Lemonade This is a shorter bucket list because in Utah Spring is super short. Like 3 weeks short, or so it seems. Hope to make the most of the season though! Day 16 Winter Bucket List
*Go Ice Skating *Visit Midway Ice Castles *Temple Square Lights *New Years Eve Party *Christmas Party *Starbucks Date *First Christmas as a Married Couple Tradition *Valentines Dinner somewhere New *Go Snowboarding (For the first time!) *Kiss Tyler at Midnight on New Years Eve *Bake lots of Treats *Go for a Drive to see Lights So excited to enjoy this winter season! I can’t believe fall is already over. Man time flew by! I did get to most of my bucket list, it was so much fun and really made my fall special. Completed: Pumpkin Spice Coffee Date I love love love coffee and Tyler and I made it for coffee several times this fall season. While pumpkin spice is great, I found a new favorite. Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino at Starbucks was incredible. I will totally be going back for more. Pumpkin Picking I had a great time pumpkin picking with Tyler this year. Our first time at the pumpkin patch as a married couple was pretty great. Carve a Pumpkin Totally nailed this one. I love having carved pumpkins out on the porch it really makes me feel like halloween. Visit a Corn Maze We totally went to a corn maze and were quite disappointed. The maze was totally lame and didn’t even have an exit. So hopefully next year we can go to one that’s more fun. Drive Through the Canyon This was one of the first items I completed. Tyler and I drove through the canyon in early September and there was already snow! So crazy. I was excited for beautiful leaves and bright colors. Instead I got cold snow. Next year we’ll have to go up the canyon earlier. Halloween Party I love throwing parties and really enjoyed putting this one together. It was a lot of fun, even if we didn’t get any trick or treaters. You can read about the entire party here. Wear a Couples Costume Tyler and I dressed up for Halloween as a T-Bird and Pink Lady. Totally adorable and it was so fun. Drink Apple Cider I served a delicious apple cider drink at the Halloween party that everyone enjoyed. I even served it out of a pumpkin. Totally yummy. Friendsgiving This one was a huge success. The food was delicious and my friends were amazing. We had a great time eating and then had a blast playing games. Incomplete Apple Picking I wanted to experience apple picking for the first time, but I couldn’t find a place to go apple picking, so if you know of any farms that let you pick your own apples please let me know! Bake an Apple Pie This one kind of goes with the apple picking, I was planning on picking the apples and going home and baking a pie. However since the apple picking didn’t happen, the pie baking didn’t happen. Overall this fall was amazing and I loved every minute of it. Can’t wait to see what winter brings my way. Well I posted my fall bucket list about a month ago (check it out here) and it’s time for me to check in. I really haven't been able to get much checked off yet. It hasn’t really been fall weather and doing the activities in the heat just doesn’t have the same feel to it. Regardless I have gotten some things completed. Drive through the Canyon I used this item as an excuse to finally get up big cottonwood canyon to check out silver lake. All my friends have been telling me that it is an amazing photo spot. Well when Tyler and I made it up the canyon, we found a snow covered, frozen lake. Not so fall picture worthy (although it was a gorgeous winter scene). Guess next year we’ll have to get up the canyon earlier in order to see the fall leaves. Pumpkin Spice Coffee Date I have gotten more coffee this fall than I’d like to admit, but there’s just something magical about getting out in the fall weather with a warm cup in your hand. Pumpkin Picking Tyler and I decided to check out a new pumpkin patch this year. I had found one called Kalawala advertising a free entrance to the corn maze with the purchase of a pumpkin. I thought cool, we’re buying pumpkins anyways, why not get a free corn maze too? Well the pumpkin patch was nice, not as good as our usual spot, but still nice. We found some pumpkins and bought raspberry salsa and pumpkin butter from their little store. (Both of which are very yummy and taste homemade) As for the corn maze, it sucked. Like way bad. No wonder it was practically free admission. There was only a haunted side and a kiddy side, we chose the kiddy side, so it should’ve been a piece of cake. Instead we walked the ENTIRE corn maze and found no exit. None. The only way out was the entrance. It was hilariously lame. At least we had fun getting some cute pumpkins. And that’s all I’ve been able to do so far, but I look forward to accomplishing more as we get further into fall weather. *Kylie |
