Day 9 Last Christmas I went with Tyler to Oregon to visit his family. It was quite an experience. It was the first Christmas I was away from my family and didn’t do the Christmas traditions that I usually follow. Just a few weeks before Christmas, Tyler decided he wanted to visit his dad for the holiday and we suddenly got thrown into planning a trip out. (I mean I wasn’t going to spend a Christmas without Tyler) It was crazy to get it to all work out. As we got on the plane, I wasn’t really thinking about Christmas. I was mostly excited to be heading back to Oregon. I love it there and it’s so beautiful. Once we arrived we had some fun with Tyler’s family and just catching up with everyone. Then it hit me. I was going to miss Christmas with my family. I did get a tiny bit homesick, but it passed pretty quickly. I enjoyed spending the time with Tyler's side of the family. Their traditions were so different from mine, but it was still great. After Christmas we spent a couple more days with his family before coming home. It was nice to stay a while after the holiday. Overall it was a great trip and one I hope we can continue to take in future years. Although the trip was great I’m really excited to spend this Christmas at home with my family and doing the traditions I have always done, while creating new ones with Tyler this year.

Day 7 So I’m not a huge movie person. It really bothers Tyler and I’m always at the end of a joke because I haven’t seen so many classic movies. For example I’ve never seen the sand lot. I know go ahead and gasp in surprise. So here’s a list of a few Christmas movies I haven’t seen. The Christmas Story Scruge Annabell’s Wish White Christmas It’s a Wonderful Life A Christmas Vacation National Lampoon’s Chrtistmas Vacation Christmas Carol Elosie at Christmastime Miracle on 34th Street Obviously I’m a disgrace. So please comment your favoirtes below and I’ll watch them this Christmas season. My favorite Christmas songs are pretty typical. So I’ll spare you the rehashing of all the typical Christmas songs and share my top 6.
All I want for Christmas is you Baby it’s cold outside Mary did you know Jingle bell rock It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas Those are my top 6. I’m not a huge Christmas music fan (I know I’m the worst) but these always put me in the Christmas spirit. Today I’m giving a big birthday shout out to my youngest sister. Today she turns 15! So excited to go to my parents tonight to see everyone and enjoy family ❤️ hope your nights are wonderful
Last night Tyler and I put up our Christmas tree. It was so much fun and really got me in the Christmas spirit. While decorating the tree, we ate Christmas cookies and watched Elf. We decorated the tree with red green and gold ornaments. Those colors are going to be my theme for Christmas this year. I’m so excited to get the rest of the decorations put together. It was really amazing to spend that time with Tyler and start off our Christmas season together. |
